Iris Shaders

Iris Shaders · Client mod

Brings shader packs to Minecraft for atmospheric light, shadows and water. Iris loads the pack; a pack such as EmberwakeShaders creates the actual look.

Voxy

MCRcortex · Client mod

Keeps landscapes visible far beyond the normal render distance. Voxy stores simplified terrain as you explore, building a horizon that grows with your travels.

In this setup
Fabric, Sodium and Fabric API.
Good to know
Requires OpenGL 4.6. With Iris, the shader pack must explicitly support Voxy; unexplored server terrain does not appear automatically.

The foundations underneath.

These two provide the foundations for the featured Fabric setup.

Set up the matching Fabric Loader in your launcher or use the official installer. Fabric API does not replace it.

Your setup

Three steps.
Your own look.

Emberwake’s RPG features do not require client mods. This selection is an optional graphics upgrade and does not grant access to the closed alpha.

Get the Modrinth App

  1. Create a Fabric profile

    Choose your Minecraft version and Fabric as the mod loader in your launcher. Use the same Minecraft version for every mod and select matching dependencies. The version lists on Modrinth show which files belong together.

  2. Add the foundations and mods

    Install Sodium, Fabric API, Iris and, on supported hardware, Voxy into that profile. Use the app links or download matching JAR files from Modrinth to your profile’s mods folder.

  3. Choose a shader. Explore your world.

    Place the shader pack ZIP in shaderpacks and enable it in Iris’s shader menu. The pack must explicitly support Voxy to work with it. Start with moderate settings; the distant view fills in as you explore.
